Especially the cathedral or the hanging houses, not to mention the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciudadencantada.es\/web\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enchanted City<\/a> a few kilometers from the capital.<br \/>\nIts historic walled city was declared a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciudadespatrimonio.org\/ciudades\/index.php?cd=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Heritage<\/a> Site by UNESCO in 1996, so if you allow us a tip for those who still do not know it, we strongly recommend a weekend visit, you will love it.<br \/>\nAnd during that visit you can stay at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.posadasanjose.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n  <strong>La <\/strong><br \/>\n  <b>Posada de San Jos\u00e9<\/b><br \/>\n<\/a> a rural lodging that Jennifer and Antonio Cortinas restored and opened to the public in 1983. Original from the 17th century (it was an old monastery), it is located in the heart of the historic center of Cuenca and has a magnificent restaurant specialized in local gastronomy.<br \/>\nWhere you go, do as you see&#8217; is a maxim that we, as frequent travelers around the world, often use. The  <b>La Posada de San Jos\u00e9 restaurant<\/b>  specializes in a wide variety of typical homemade tapas and portions: morteruelo, ratatouille, gazpacho pastor, ajoarriero, Manchego cheeses&#8230;, intense dishes, typical of a powerful inland gastronomy, which combine perfectly with the wines.  <b>of Finca Antigua<\/b>  which, of course, you will find at the Posada de San Jos\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha) is one of those places that surprise you with its extraordinary historical and artistic heritage.
