\nOn this occasion, several international sources have valued our wines in an outstanding way, which of course fills us with pride. And even more so when it comes to a wine expert as acclaimed worldwide as the famous
\n Tim Atkin<\/a>
\n<\/strong> who, in the prestigious list<\/a> of Rioja wineries that he updates every year, has included excellent scores and comments for the wines of
\n Finca Valpiedra<\/a>
\n<\/strong> and
\n Vi\u00f1a Bujanda<\/a>
\n<\/strong>belonging to Familia Mart\u00ednez Bujanda<\/strong>.
\nThe continued presence of
\n Familia Mart\u00ednez Bujanda<\/a>
\n<\/strong> in the accredited ranking of the British “master of wine” highlights the dedication and effort to create Rioja wines of concentration and character.
\nAt Finca Valpiedra, the only winery in La Rioja that belongs to the
\n Grandes Pagos de Espa\u00f1a<\/a>
\n<\/strong>We make terroir wines in a privileged environment, where its particular microclimate and alluvial soil offer privileged conditions for growing grapes.
\nFinca Valpiedra wines have achieved excellent scores:
\n Finca Valpiedra Reserva 2012<\/a>
\n<\/strong>95 points<\/strong>, and
\n Cantos de Valpiedra 2015<\/a>
\n<\/strong>, 92 points<\/strong>.
\nFinca Valpiedra Reserva 2012 is described as a “very Bordeaux-style wine, with light animal notes on the nose. A very fresh and nuanced wine for such a warm vintage”. The acclaimed “master of wine” describes our wine as “elegantly steeped with filigree tannins, with a very tasty black fruit taste, wonderful and long-lasting consistency on the palate”.
\nAs for Cantos de Valpiedra Crianza 2015, he highlights its elegant flavor, detailing it as “floral, elegant and well-balanced”, underlining its “very fine tannins with hints of Gran Vino”.
\nVi\u00f1a Bujanda wines have also achieved excellent scores and comments:
\n Vi\u00f1a Bujanda Gran Reserva 2011<\/a>
\n<\/strong>92 points<\/strong>, and
\n Vi\u00f1a Bujanda Reserva 2013<\/a>
\n<\/strong>90<\/strong> points.
\nThe classic and traditional style is appreciated. Regarding Vi\u00f1a Bujanda Gran Reserva 2011, Tim Atkin points out that “this is an update of the classic style, with sappy acidity, very attractive minerality, red and black fruits accompanied by a freshness and extract of the age of this wine. It also has a very good evolution on the palate”.
\nAs for Vi\u00f1a Bujanda Reserva 2013, he highlights that it is an “attractively evolved and balsamic wine with a soft sweetness and good underlying acidity”.
\nBut it was not only Tim Atkin who recently praised the quality of our wines. The prestigious magazine
\n Wine Spectator<\/a>
\n<\/strong> has catalogued
\n Vi\u00f1a Bujanda Crianza 2015<\/a>
\n<\/strong> with 90 points, highlighting it as one of the 100 best wines in the world and describes it as a “bright and energetic” wine, highlighting its “simple and graceful” taste, with “notes of fresh cherry and red plum mingling with hints of leaves, licorice and vanilla, backed by light tannins and tangerine acidity”.
\nIn addition, in the last edition of the competition
\n Rioja Masters 2018<\/a>
\n<\/strong>organized by the renowned British magazine
\n The Drinks Business<\/a>
\n<\/strong>magazine, one of the most influential publications in the wine industry, our
\n Finca Valpiedra Reserva 2011<\/a>
\n<\/strong> was awarded a bronze medal.
