\nAlthough it is always necessary to be very respectful of tastes, perhaps the world of the beach bar is reflected in the consumption of ordinary white wines, but which are very successful among consumers, especially on the coast. Even so, it should be noted that Spain produces fantastic white wines and we are going to focus on them.
\nFamilia Mart\u00ednez Bujanda<\/strong>, faithful to its philosophy of making excellent wines from its own vineyards, located in privileged enclaves, presents in 2020 the new vintages of two of its great and original whites: Finca Antigua Viura on Lees 2019<\/strong> and Finca Montepedroso Verdejo on Lees 2019<\/strong>. Wines from two appellations of origin as different as La Mancha and Rueda. The first is made from the Viura<\/em> variety and the second from Rueda’s star grape, the Verdejo<\/em>. In both cases, the role of the lees is decisive in the winemaking process and subsequent aging capacity.
\nFinca Antigua Viura on Lees 2019<\/strong>
\nFinca Antigua<\/strong> is probably one of the most creative wineries of the moment. It produces innovative, avant-garde and surprising wines. Wines that express the personality of a very peculiar terroir at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level and different from the rest of the area.
\nFinca Antigua Viura 2019 <\/strong>is an aromatic, fruity and fresh white, lemon yellow in color with green flashes. A velvety and silky wine, characterized by its volume and structure, and for having a balanced acidity that gives it freshness and nerve. Long and tasty. It is perfect to enjoy with fresh seafood and white fish, as well as with seafood rice dishes such as arroz caldero and arroz a banda. Other options are pasta au gratin and white meats.
\nFinca Montepedroso on Lees 2019<\/strong>
\nThis single varietal Verdejo<\/em> is one of the two whites produced by Finca Montepedroso<\/strong> in the Rueda appellation. Here the winery has 25 hectares of vineyards located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level. The vines range in age from seven to 31 years old.
\nFinca Montepedroso 2019<\/strong> is a clean, bright, aromatic, fruity, balanced and intense white wine. It is velvety and silky, with volume and structure. Like the previous white, it is the perfect accompaniment to fresh seafood and fish. It is also essential with seafood rice dishes.
