Rueda is a land of winemaking tradition and the birthplace of Finca Montepedroso, one of the Grandes Pagos in Spain. With 25 hectares of our own vineyards, we produce white wines with personality and character, 100% Verdejo, recovering the essence of the purest and most traditional Verdejo wines of the area. All this responds to a very clear objective: the return to the authentic Verdejo.

Located in the heart of the Rueda Denomination of Origin, the estate stands on a plateau at an altitude of 750 meters, a privileged enclave that gives uniqueness and character to our wines. In addition, its different types of soil reflect the richness of the landscape that surrounds the Duero Valley. Alluvial soil predominates, formed by boulders and stones, which occupies most of the estate. Next to it, we findareas of clayey soil in ravines, where the oldest vineyards grow, as well asareas with silt and clay sediments and steep slopes that provide complexity and depth to the vineyard.

Thanks to these stony and rustic soils, the vines producehigh quality fruit, capable of expressing all the personality and authenticity of Rueda’s best terroir.

During your visit to Finca Montepedroso you will discover first-hand the particularities of the region, learn about the Verdejo variety -the only one we grow on our estate- and understand how the environment influences every wine we make.

In addition, you can enjoy a commented tasting of our special Verdejo on lees, in 3 historical vintagesin 3 historic vintages accompanied by a delicious tapa of local produce. And, to complete the experience,you will tour the vineyard and visit the winery while contemplating unique views that make Rueda an unforgettable place.
