Cosecheros y Criadores is a historical term that marked the difference between the historical producers of wine for quick consumption and bulk trade (cosecheros) and the wineries that, with the development of the ‘modern Rioja’ in the second half of the 19th century, adopted the Bordeaux model of aging and cellaring wines (criadores).
Cosecheros y Criadores produces its wines under the geographical indication Vinos de La Tierra de Castilla with variety and vintage and has a fleet of 6,000 French and American oak barrels.
