Finca Valpiedra Reserva (D.O.Ca. Rioja) is a wine recommended for lovers of wines of high intensity, great complexity and elegance in aromas and flavors, its best letter of introduction.

This is a Rioja reserva red wine with 24 months in French oak barrels that give an ideal balance between fruit, toast and a pleasant finish.

It is one of the only Rioja wines in Grandes Pagos de España and has 93 points in the Peñín Guide.

FINCA VALPIEDRA (D.O.Ca. Rioja).Located in the best area of the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja, in a spectacular meander of the Ebro River. Its alluvial and pebble soil gives its name to this estate in the Rioja Alta. Three terraces with 80 hectares at an altitude of over 400 meters above sea level, where Tempranillo, Graciano, Grenache and Maturana red grapes are grown, and Viura, Malvasia, Grenache and Maturana white grapes.

Excellent characteristics with its own microclimate and stony soil, which make its wines are rooted in the culture of Pago wines. Part of the Asociación Grandes Pagos de España since its inception, Finca Valpiedra follows the Bordeaux style with a single vineyard and four wines made exclusively from the estate’s grapes. An authentic jewel, cradle of great Rioja wines.

High intensity, cherry color with cardinal rim. Abundant, dense and tinted tears.

High intensity, with great complexity and elegance in the aromatic matrix, highlighting mineral notes of red and black fruits and hints of incense. All this is combined with fine woody notes from French oak, such as vanilla, cedar, blond tobacco and spices.

In the initial phase of the taste, it denotes excellent smoothness and volume, developing a very fine tannic structure that makes it tasty and sapid. The freshness provided by the Graciano makes it more balanced with respect to alcohol, showing a very long aftertaste and a pleasant finish. Spicy, fruity and woody notes reappear in the retronasal passage.

Medium cured cheeses. Stewed red meats, baked lamb and big game dishes (roe deer and chamois). Mountain dishes such as cocido montañés or pinto beans with pork.
