Description
In the heart of the D.O.Ca. Rioja, the vineyards of Viña Bujanda unfold along the majestic meander of the Ebro River, one of the region’s most iconic landscapes.
Close to the riverbank lies one of our most treasured estates, known within the family as “CASABLANCA” – a privileged parcel that looks directly toward the Ebro.
This natural curve, known among the locals as “The Curve of Fortune,” is where the river bends gently, bringing each spring new minerals and sediments that enrich the soil and nourish the life of the vine.
Among the terraces that descend toward the water, there is one particularly special hectare:
“The closest to the river – the closest to fortune.”
Family tradition tells that, in the early years of Casablanca, while preparing the land for planting, workers discovered ancient gold coins buried beneath this very plot.
From that moment on, the elders began calling the place “The Golden Soil,” and the river that borders it, “The River of Fortune.”
Since that discovery, this small parcel has become a symbol of our philosophy:
“Time as heritage, land as value, and fortune as a living movement.”
