How to celebrate World Wine Tourism Day?

World Wine Tourism Day

Did you know that wine is more enjoyable when you experience it from the inside? Next Sunday is World Wine Tourism Day, a perfect opportunity to discover what lies beyond having a glass and immerse yourself in the culture, tradition and nature surrounding the world of wine.

A good way to get inspired is to tour three of Spain’s most important wine regions: La Mancha, Rioja and Ruedaand find out what goes on inside and outside their wineries. There, wine becomes landscape, tradition, culture, gastronomy, conversation and experience.

Here are some ideas of how you can live this day through our farms with their own personality and very different proposals: Finca Antigua, Finca Valpiedra y Finca Montepedrosothree examples of what it means to open the world of wine to those who want to explore it.

Finca Antigua: nature and architecture amidst vineyards in La Mancha

Finca Antigua is located in the high plateau of La Mancha, surrounded by vineyards, Mediterranean scrub and a surprising biodiversity, a perfect example of how nature, contemporary architecture and avant-garde wines coexist.

Those who visit this place discover that La Mancha is not only infinite plains, but also altitude, wind, great thermal contrasts and wines from more than 40 different plots.

One of the star visits, “Ocellated Lizard”offers a complete experience that combines learning, scenery and enjoyment. Where you can tour the winery, taste the wines with a tapa of local gastronomy and finish with a free walk through the vineyard to enjoy at your own pace.

Children can also participate with must and cheese, making it a perfect visit for the whole family.

This is one of the infinite wine tourism possibilities offered, since you can also: tour the estate in a 4×4, taste the wines at the foot of the vineyard, enjoy a lunch at the Casona… Everything you need, you will find it at Finca Antigua.

Finca Valpiedra: Riojan elegance in a meander of the Ebro River

In Rioja, wine culture is impregnated in every corner. But there are places that still preserve that intimate connection between landscape and winery.

Finca Valpiedra, located in a spectacular meander of the Ebro River, is one of those places that remind us why this region is synonymous with tradition, but also with excellence and purity.

Surrounded by boulders and a single vineyard, Finca Valpiedra offers a unique way of experiencing La Rioja. We also recommendthe “Finca” tour, an oenological adventure on four wheels.

On board a 4×4, you will tour the vineyard while you learn about the origin of the terroir, the work in the fields and the process that gives life to our wines. The experience continues with a visit to the winery and will end with a commented tasting of Cantos de Valpiedra crianza and Finca Valpiedra reserva, accompanied by Rioja cured meats and cheeses.

In addition, you can complete the visit with a picnic among the vineyards (or inside the winery if the weather is bad), designed for two people or more, ideal to enjoy the environment calmly and tastefully.

Finca Montepedroso: verdejo in essence, art and landscape in Rueda

If there is a place where white wine is shown as it is, that place is Rueda. There, Finca Montepedroso grows exclusively Verdejo on the stony soils of the Castilian plateau, and does so respecting the 135 year-old wine legacy of Familia Martínez Bujanda, closely linked to the value of the terroir.

In the heart of Rueda, where the Verdejo grape expresses its maximum purity, World Wine Tourism Day 2025 is celebrated with a special visit: “Wine, Art and Landscape”. a special visit: “Wine, art and landscape”.

The experience begins with a walk through the vineyards, where the magic behind the region’s most characterful white wine is revealed. It continues with a guided tasting of 3 wines, designed to discover nuances, aromas and emotions.

And as a finishing touch, a creative cup painting workshop, where each participant decorates his or her own cup to take home as a souvenir.

Save the date! November 8, 2025 at 11:00 am.

A perfect date to enjoy as a couple, with friends or as a different gift.
