RALLY-VALPIEDRA (9)Convened by Periódico La Rioja, the one hundred participants in the photographic rally got up early last Saturday, November 30, to visit the four wineries and the restoration center. Finca Valpiedra de Familia Martínez Bujanda, Pagos de Leza, El Coto, Barón de Ley and the Delicatto restaurant were the facilities immortalized by the fans during the day, in order to compete for the prizes offered by the organization.

The starting point of the rally was the headquarters of the newspaper La Rioja, from where the participants set off for the first of their visits, Finca Valpiedra, owned by Familia Martínez Bujanda, in the municipality of Fuenmayor, very close to Cenicero. At the estate, the participants were able to visit and photograph all the winery’s facilities, from the tanks where the wine is produced and stored, passing through the barrel room, the wine rack and the tasting room. In addition, visitors were able to enjoy the scenery surrounding the winery, from the viewpoint where you can enjoy the wonderful meander of the Ebro River that crosses it.

From Finca Valpiedra, the rally participants headed to Rioja Alavesa to visit two other wineries: Pagos de Leza (in Leza) and El Coto (in Oyón), and then on to Navarre, in Mendavia, more specifically to Barón de Ley. The rally ended at the Delicatto restaurant, where lunch was included for all participants.

After the rally, it is the turn of the jury, which will be responsible for evaluating the work of the fans and will award prizes for the best images. All the photographs taken by the contestants will be available for the wineries and we will show them to you in this space as we receive them.
