Familia Martínez Bujanda participated in the stand of the DO Rueda with Finca Montepedroso, its 100% Verdejo wine.
The 15th edition of the Megavino Fair, one of the most important wine fairs in the Benelux, was held from October 18 to 21 in Brussels, Belgium. Spain’s group participation in the Fair was organized by ICEX (Instituto de Comercio Exterior) in conjunction with the Economic and Commercial Office in Brussels.
This year, the Fair was of special interest for our country, since Spain was the Guest of Honor, so there was an important Spanish pavilion with two clearly defined areas: on the one hand, an area dedicated to importers of Spanish wines, and on the other, an area for Spanish wineries with a presence in the Belgian market or seeking distribution there. In conjunction with the organizers of Megavino, a promotional campaign was launched to promote Spain’s participation in the Fair as the guest country.
Megavino presents the latest trends and the most important and outstanding novelties in the wine market for this year. These have been reflected in the extensive and varied program of activities at the show, which included themed tastings, culinary demonstrations, conferences, workshops and the presentation of various awards, making this event an unmissable event for wine professionals.
In the last edition of 2012, Megavino obtained good participation results, with more than 23,000 visitors, 300 exhibitors from 28 different countries, figures that the organizers expect to exceed this year.
