It doesn’t matter if you know a lot, if you know little or if you know nothing about the world of wine . As with any other concerns you may have, you can always learn.

Wine is alive, evolving, changing, modernizing, and we can learn at its pace. That’s why we want to recommend a series of books so that, above all, you can enjoy them as much as we do.

Do you like wine, but don’t know what to say? At
Knowing about wine in 3 hours”,
by Federico Oldenburg you will learn basic knowledge to enjoy even more of those wines you like, and you will learn to try new ones. It is a basic, fast and fun book for anyone who wants to get started in this world.

If you want to go a little deeper, read “The Wine Bible”, by Karen McNeil, a book in whose first pages, you will learn how to appreciate a good wine, and in which you will also find the answers to the questions that all wine lovers should know. Also, depending on where you are or where you are going, it details the wine worth drinking and explains the best wine production areas. In Spain, it stops at 13 and in three of them, Familia Martínez Bujanda wineries are present: in Rioja with Finca Valpiedra and Viña Bujanda; in Rueda, Finca Montepedroso and in La Mancha, Finca Antigua.

If you are interested in learning a little more about winemaking, it is great fun to learn with the winemaker Mª Isabel Mijares through his book “Wine, from the vine to the glass”, a more technical but easy to read book, and with which you will be able to learn the whole process.

For expert winelovers, we like to recommend “

The New Winemakers

“by Luis Gutiérrez. In it you can meet the new generation that have launched themselves into viticulture with different ways of harvesting, taking care of the land and the native varieties and using ancestral forms of cultivation, such as the phases of the moon. It is curious and entertaining with a new vision for all those who want to go a little further.

We cannot forget the book by Alberto Gil, “Vinos silenciosos” (Silent Wines ), IWCa Best Wine Book of Spain award, in which our winery Finca Valpiedra is one of the protagonists .

And most importantly… any of these books should be accompanied by a good bottle of wine, because you will enjoy them much more and, with each sip, you will discover wonderful characteristics that you had not noticed before.

We recommend our terroir lot with two bottles of Finca Montepedroso, two bottles of Finca Valpiedra Reserva and two bottles of Finca Antigua Reserva.

Which of these proposals will you start with? Let us know what you thought of them.
