Familia Martinez Bujanda participated in the competition with its wine Finca Antigua Moscatel, which was among the 10 best wines in the sweet category of the final.
This past weekend was held in Madrid the final of La Nariz de oro, a contest born in 1992, which rewards the best nose of the Spanish sommelier. Joffre Tarrida won the title after two intense days of competition, in which 71 sommeliers from all over Spain participated. Of all of them, only 5 made it to the last round of the competition to face the five black glasses test, where the five finalists, with the help of their sense of smell, had to identify and indicate the characteristics of each of the five references served in a black glass.
In addition, the competition not only rewards the best sommeliers in Spain, but they are also in charge of choosing the best wines of Spain, divided into 7 categories. Among the more than 800 references that participated throughout the competition, the sweet wine of Familia Martínez Bujanda, Finca Antigua Moscatel, reached the final, being among the 10 finalists in its category.
In addition to the professional Golden Nose, the Amateur Golden Nose was also held, where Carmen Martínez de Artola was proclaimed the winner.
