Finca Antigua

The field work, the parceling of the vineyard and the cultivation of varietals in specific plots, condition all the work in the winery. The varietal wines are made separately, so the winemaking facility has 40 fully automated, self-emptying stainless steel tanks, each with a capacity for 50,000 kilos of grapes.

The winemaking pavilion also has 36 storage and stabilization tanks of different capacities, where the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and the first rackings are carried out. In the typification plant, the filtration and clarification treatments are carried out and, finally, the blending of the different varieties that will give rise to our Finca Antigua Crianza Único and Finca Antigua Reserva.

Finca Antigua also works with several research and development projects with micro-elaborations in tanks of only 200 liters to follow and analyze the different results with experimental varieties and different coupages.

The barrel aging facility has the capacity to house 4,500 French and American oak barrels, which are constantly renewed and stacked using the modern and innovative honeycomb system.
