We are not saying anything outrageous if we refer to the wine sector as one of the most innovative in the world. The extraordinary competition and atomization of wineries and the need to surprise and offer new sensations means that wineries are constantly investing economic and human capital in developing new and different products.
Familia Martínez Bujanda works with grapes grown in our own vineyards and our business model is based on the differentiation and creativity of our different productions.. At the top, we place our estate wines (Finca Valpiedra, Finca Antigua and Finca Montepedroso).), with which we try to reflect as much as possible the identity of the terroirs where the vineyards are located, the characterization of the landscapes conditioned each year by the vicissitudes of the weather: no two wines are the same because each vintage is different, but each vintage is different. in these wines the consumer will find the honesty of the winemaker who works without a network, with the exclusive production of his own vineyard.
In an intermediate place, although more as a concept than as a pyramid of qualities because we also find first level wines, we have Bujanda Vineyard in which, without renouncing the origins of the grapes from our own vineyards, we are committed to the blending of grapes from different vineyards and more traditional and classic Rioja winemaking methods. The vision is completely updated according to the evolving tastes of our customers.
At the base of our project, we place Cosecheros y Criadores, a winery founded in 1951, in which we work with different lines of wines such as Candidato, Casa Solar and Infinitus, in the latter two cases under the umbrella of the protected geographical indication Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla. The wines of Cosecheros y Criadores, especially our Infinitus range, give free rein to the creativity of our technical team, both in the vineyard and in the winery, with unconventional productions -less ‘strict’- and with surprising results that, taking advantage of these lines, we invite you to get to know.
If you discover Infinitus you will find a wide range of varietal wines (red and white), including our spectacular inside and out (design) Infinitus Moscatel, which we are sure will make you repeat. Infinitus Tempranillo was rated by the 2017 Peñín Guide as the best value-for-money red wine in Spain, with 91 points, and was not far behind our Infinitus Syrah, with 90 points.
This system of differentiation of wine categories developed by Familia Martínez Bujanda should not differ too much from the proposals that are being used in different appellations of origin in the country to classify wines. Honesty, clear and segmented elaborations are the best way to create a system that is easily acceptable and intelligible to consumers.
