Carlos pertenece a la cuarta generación de Familia Martínez Bujanda, dedicada al cultivo del viñedo y la elaboración de vinos desde 1889. Es Presidente de la Empresa Familiar y uno de los miembros ejecutivos de Grandes Pagos de España, una Asociación de fincas vitícolas de nuestro país que defiende y propaga la cultura del vino de pago, de los terruños específicos que reflejan la personalidad inconfundible de su suelo, su subsuelo y su clima, frente a la elaboración industrial del vino.

Carlos es licenciado en CC. Económicas y Administración de Empresas por la Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao). Después de terminar sus estudios universitarios asumió responsabilidades comerciales en la Compañía Familiar, con una primera etapa dedicada a consolidar el mercado nacional y una segunda a los mercados de exportación.

Durante su gestión, Familia Martínez Bujanda inició un ambicioso proceso de internacionalización que llevó al grupo bodeguero a estar presente en más de 60 países y alcanzar una cuota exportadora del 70% de la producción.
Carlos, junto con su hermana Pilar, concibió a mediados de los años 90 el concepto de Vino de Pago que hoy caracteriza las elaboraciones de Familia Martínez Bujanda: Finca Valpiedra (DOCa Rioja), Finca Antigua (DO La Mancha) y Finca Montepedroso (DO Rueda), extraordinarios viñedos singulares y bodegas al servicio de la personalidad de los terruños en que se asientan, son el resultado de este espíritu emprendedor que diferencia a Familia Martínez Bujanda respecto a la mayoría de las históricas compañías bodegueras originarias de Rioja.

Familia Martínez Bujanda cuenta con cinco bodegas en cuatro denominaciones de origen diferentes y emplea a más de 110 personas en este sueño de elaborar vinos de calidad, con la personalidad de la propia naturaleza que caracteriza los viñedos.
Carlos Martínez Bujanda pertenece a la cuarta generación de esta familia de viticultores, pero la quinta está ya ahí con sus dos hijos, Borja, licenciado en Economía y Derecho, y Adrián, licenciado en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas, el cual acaba de incorporarse al negocio familiar.

Pilar forma, junto a su hermano Carlos, parte de la cuarta generación del grupo Familia Martínez Bujanda cuyo capital sigue siendo hoy en día, 100% familiar.

Inmersa en el negocio vitivinícola desde su infancia, estudió Secretariado de Dirección en ISSA, Universidad de San Sebastián, y tras obtener la titulación vivió seis meses en Pau (Francia) para perfeccionar el idioma. El propio carácter de la empresa familiar le llevó rápidamente, en 1975, a incorporarse al negocio y ocuparse fundamentalmente de labores administrativas.

Junto con Carlos apadrina el espíritu emprendedor de la nueva etapa de Familia Martínez Bujanda, así como el deseo de elaborar vinos con la personalidad de los mejores terruños de diferentes zonas de España.

Es la hija mayor de Pilar Martínez Bujanda y la primera persona de la quinta generación en llegar a la Compañía Familiar. El negocio del vino y el amor por los viñedos lo lleva en la sangre. Estudió Dirección de Empresas en Zaragoza, en la Escuela Superior de Negocios Columbus IBS con estancias anuales en otras universidades europeas de Reino Unido (University of Abertay Dundee) y Holanda (Hogeschool Zeeland HZ University Of Aplied Sciences), además de residir en Inglaterra y Alemania donde perfeccionó ambos idiomas.
Se incorporó al negocio familiar en 2002 como Directora de Exportación, en una compañía familiar que comercializa en el exterior el 70% de sus elaboraciones.
Marta S. Martínez Bujanda es impulsora de la política de elaboración de vinos singulares, reflejo del propio paisaje natural de los viñedos, mensaje que difunde por todo el mundo.

Es el hijo menor de Carlos Martínez Bujanda, y, por tanto, otro miembro de la quinta generación en llegar al negocio familiar. Estudió Derecho y Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). Tras graduarse, estuvo trabajando como abogado durante 5 años en varios importantes despachos de Madrid, no obstante, su amor y pasión por el mundo del vino le hizo decantarse por seguir los pasos de su padre.

Es difícil encontrar una simbiosis, un compromiso, como el que la familia propietaria de la compañía vitivinícola ha encontrado con Lauren Rosillo, director técnico y uno de los grandes conocedores de la viticultura y la enología del país. Controla y supervisa las 700 hectáreas de viñedo que Familia Martínez Bujanda cultiva en Rioja, Rueda y La Mancha con esa aspiración de elaborar vinos francos, sinceros, reflejo de la personalidad de los terruños, ajenos a las modas, y que sean capaces de transportar a quien consume una botella a los extraordinarios y cuidadosamente elegidos paisajes para la elaboración de vinos.
Lauren Rosillo es Ingeniero Agrónomo por la Universidad de Albacete y licenciado en Enología por la Universidad Miguel Hernández (Elche), una vocación académica que mantuvo durante sus primeros años de carrera profesional como autor de numerosas publicaciones e investigaciones vitícolas y enológicas como colaborador de la Cátedra de Química Agrícola de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Albacete.

En 1997 se incorpora al mundo laboral como segundo enólogo y responsable de bodega y viñedo en Manuel Manzaneque (Albacete), bajo la dirección técnica del prestigioso enólogo francés Michel Podou y apenas tres años después asume en solitario la máxima responsabilidad en el campo y la bodega de Manuel Manzaneque.
En el año 2002 se incorpora a Familia Martínez Bujanda como director técnico de viñedo y bodega de Finca Antigua, el entonces nuevo proyecto de La Mancha que ha ido creciendo y desarrollándose bajo su supervisión.
Cinco años después asume la dirección técnica de las bodegas de Familia Martínez Bujanda (Finca Antigua, Viña Bujanda, Finca Valpiedra, Finca Montepedroso y Cosecheros y Criadores) compartiendo ese deseo con la cuarta generación de la compañía de elaborar vinos honestos reflejo de los diferentes terruños.
Rosillo aprendió de primera mano, con estancias en Nueva Zelanda y Australia, la elaboración de vinos blancos y es co-responsable de la apuesta de Familia Martínez Bujanda por elaborar blancos con personalidad en la DO Rueda, proyecto que acabó con la inauguración en el año 2012 de Finca Montepedroso.
Asimismo, ha desarrollado junto con Carlos y Pilar las nuevas instalaciones de la bodega Viña Bujanda en Oyón, el pueblo natal de Familia Martínez Bujanda.
Apasionado de los animales, de la naturaleza y coleccionista y consumidor de los grandes vinos del mundo, Lauren Rosillo representa esa nueva generación de técnicos que elaboran vinos desde la viña sin bata.

Carlos belongs to the fourth generation of Familia Martínez Bujanda, dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards and winemaking since 1889. He is President of the Family Business and one of the executive members of Grandes Pagos de España, an association of wine estates in our country that defends and propagates the culture of vino de pago, of specific terroirs that reflect the unmistakable personality of their soil, subsoil and climate, as opposed to industrial winemaking.

Carlos has a bachelor’s degree in CC. Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto (Bilbao). After completing his university studies, he assumed commercial responsibilities in the Family Company, with a first stage dedicated to consolidating the domestic market and a second to export markets.

During his tenure, Familia Martínez Bujanda initiated an ambitious internationalization process that led the winery group to be present in more than 60 countries and to reach an export quota of 70% of its production.

Carlos, together with his sister Pilar, conceived in the mid 90’s the concept of Vino de Pago that today characterizes Familia Martínez Bujanda’s elaborations: Finca Valpiedra (DOCa Rioja), Finca Antigua (DO La Mancha) and Finca Montepedroso (DO Rueda), extraordinary singular vineyards and wineries at the service of the personality of the terroirs in which they are based, are the result of this entrepreneurial spirit that sets Familia Martínez Bujanda apart from most of the historical winemaking companies originating in Rioja.

Familia Martínez Bujanda has five wineries in four different appellations and employs more than 110 people in this dream of making quality wines, with the personality of the very nature that characterizes the vineyards.

Carlos Martínez Bujanda belongs to the fourth generation of this family of winemakers, but the fifth generation is already there with his two sons, Borja, a graduate in Economics and Law, and Adrián, a graduate in Law and Political Science, who has just joined the family business.

PILAR MARTÍNEZ BUJANDA

(Oyón, Álava, 1952)

Pilar, together with her brother Carlos, is part of the fourth generation of the Familia Martínez Bujanda group, whose capital is still 100% family owned.
Immersed in the wine business since her childhood, she studied Management Secretarial Studies at ISSA, University of San Sebastian, and after obtaining her degree she lived in Pau (France) for six months to perfect her language skills. The very nature of the family business quickly led him, in 1975, to join the business and take on mainly administrative tasks.

Together with Carlos, he sponsors the entrepreneurial spirit of the new stage of Familia Martínez Bujanda, as well as the desire to produce wines with the personality of the best terroirs from different areas of Spain.

MARTA SANTANDER MARTÍNEZ BUJANDA

(Oyón, Álava, 1977)

She is the eldest daughter of Pilar Martínez Bujanda and the first person of the fifth generation to join the Family Company. The wine business and love for the vineyards is in his blood. He studied Business Management in Zaragoza, at the Escuela Superior de Negocios Columbus IBS with annual stays in other European universities in the United Kingdom (University of Abertay Dundee) and Holland (Hogeschool Zeeland HZ University Of Applied Sciences), as well as residing in England and Germany where he perfected both languages.

She joined the family business in 2002 as Export Manager, in a family company that markets 70% of its products abroad.
Marta S. Martínez Bujanda is the driving force behind the policy of making singular wines, a reflection of the natural landscape of the vineyards themselves, a message that she spreads throughout the world.

ADRIÁN MARTÍNEZ BUJANDA BAQUERÍN

(Logroño, La Rioja, 1992)

He is the youngest son of Carlos Martínez Bujanda, and, therefore, another member of the fifth generation to join the family business. He studied Law and Political Science at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). After graduating, he worked as a lawyer for 5 years in several important law firms in Madrid, however, his love and passion for the world of wine made him decide to follow in his father’s footsteps.

It is difficult to find a symbiosis, a commitment, such as the one that the family that owns the wine company has found with Lauren Rosillo, technical director and one of the great connoisseurs of viticulture and enology in the country. He controls and supervises the 700 hectares of vineyards that Familia Martínez Bujanda cultivates in Rioja, Rueda and La Mancha with the aspiration of producing frank, sincere wines, reflecting the personality of the terroirs, free from fashions, and capable of transporting those who drink a bottle to the extraordinary and carefully chosen landscapes for winemaking.

Lauren Rosillo holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Albacete and a degree in Oenology from the Miguel Hernández University (Elche), an academic vocation he maintained during his early professional career as the author of numerous publications and viticultural and oenological research as a collaborator of the Chair of Agricultural Chemistry at the School of Agricultural Engineering of Albacete.

LAUREN ROSILLO

In 1997 he joined Manuel Manzaneque (Albacete) as the second winemaker and head of the winery and vineyard, under the technical direction of the prestigious French winemaker Michel Podou, and just three years later he took on the sole responsibility for the Manuel Manzaneque vineyard and winery.

In 2002 he joined Familia Martínez Bujanda as technical director of the vineyard and winery of Finca Antigua, the then new project in La Mancha that has been growing and developing under his supervision.

Five years later, he took over the technical direction of the Familia Martínez Bujanda wineries (Finca Antigua, Viña Bujanda, Finca Valpiedra, Finca Montepedroso and Cosecheros y Criadores), sharing this desire with the fourth generation of the company to make honest wines that reflect the different terroirs.

Rosillo learned firsthand, with stays in New Zealand and Australia, how to make white wines and is co-responsible for Familia Martínez Bujanda’s commitment to making whites with personality in the Rueda DO, a project that ended with the opening of Finca Montepedroso in 2012.

He has also developed, together with Carlos and Pilar, the new facilities of the Viña Bujanda winery in Oyón, Familia Martínez Bujanda’s hometown.

Passionate about animals and nature and a collector and consumer of the world’s great wines, Lauren Rosillo represents the new generation of technicians who make wines from the vineyard without a lab coat.
